President Xi Jinping said on Jan 27 that Hong Kong can only maintain its long-term stability and security by ensuring "patriots¹ governing Hong Kong". Xi made the remark after hearing via video link Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor's report on the SAR government's work over the past year.
