'Flower tours' blossom across China 

国内掀起“赏花游”热潮

 

Last week, the Beijing municipal government released a list of 192 areas in the capital where spring blooms, including peach, magnolia, apricot and winter jasmine, can be enjoyed from March to May. 

上周，北京市政府共推出192个踏青赏花点，春花品种主要有山桃、玉兰、杏花、迎春等。花期从3月一直持续到5月。

 

此次推出的踏青赏花点（recommended spots）总面积达2200万平方米（cover an area of 22 square kilometers）。

 

除了踏青赏花，民俗表演（folklore¹ performances）、植物科普展示（botany exhibitions）等93项春季文化活动也将陆续上演。
