1997年，加拿大歌手席琳狄翁在连续几张畅销专辑加上影史最卖座电影「铁达尼号」主题曲" My heart will go on "，取代玛丽亚凯莉成为新力唱片公司一姐，声势如日中天的她获得唱片公司倾力支持，在新专辑中和她合作的有帕华洛帝、芭芭拉史翠珊、比吉斯合唱团等超级大牌。这其中安德森印象最深的却是标题曲" Let's talk about love "。
这首歌的原作是法国巨星 Jean-Jacques Goldman 尚贾克高曼，由摇滚歌手布莱恩亚当斯稍作改编，天王制作人大卫佛斯特制作，交给席琳狄翁演唱，巧的是三人同为加拿大籍。但您知道吗？音乐嗅觉敏锐的歌手黄莺莺早在 1990 年就曾翻唱这首歌，由作家陈乐融填词、陈志远编曲，黄莺莺的版本"让爱自由"除了后段有少许差异，安某还觉得更动听些。比较可惜的是，黄莺莺那张专辑中因为有传唱度更高的"哭砂"而抢走所有丰采，使"让爱自由"这首好歌受到冷落。
Jean-Jacques Goldman 尚贾克高曼 80 年代在法国相当走红，畅销曲众多，席琳狄翁在 1999 年发行的法语演唱会专辑中，就唱了八首尚贾克高曼的作品。尚贾克高曼还有一首作品曾被国内歌手翻唱，那就是林志炫在「优客李林」解散后单飞的首张专辑主打歌「散了吧！」，同样是一首相当动听的作品，但就像「让爱自由」一样，它并非ＫＴＶ式易唱的歌曲，唱片公司也没有大力宣传，所以也被很多人忘掉了。
