office hit list 办公室谋杀名单

Office hit list is a list of people with whom you work and whom you would also like to murder. But you never would because you're not a murderer¹ so it's an "office hit list" instead of just a regular hit list that refers to a list of would-be victims in contract killing².

 

“办公室谋杀名单”指和你一同工作、但是你心里又特别想除掉的一些人的名单。但是你肯定不会动手杀掉他们，因为你不是杀手。所以呢，这个名单才叫“办公室谋杀名单”，而不是那种真正的雇凶杀人名单。

 

For example:

 

By the end of the week I had so many people on my office hit list that the entire company would be dead if I were actually a murderer. Good thing I'm not.

这周结束的时候，我的办公室谋杀名单上的人已经很多了，如果我是个杀手的话，全公司的人估计都要死了。幸好我不是。
