Interviewer：What is your greatest strength?

Cindy：I think I'm very good at ❶ planning. I manage my time perfectly¹ so that I can always

get things done on time ❷ .

Interviewer：Why do you think you'd be a good fit for this job?

Cindy：Because I am very competent in this area.

Interviewer：Can you work under pressure ❸ ?

Cindy：Yes. I work well under pressure and find it stimulating². However ❹ , I believe planning

and the proper management of my time can reduce tight deadlines.

Interviewer：Are you more of a follower³ or a leader?

Cindy：I don't try to go ahead of people and lead them. I'd rather cooperate with ❺ everybody

else, and get the job done by working together.

❶ “be good at（doing）sth.”意思是“擅长（做）某事”。例如：He's very good

at languages.（他擅长学习语言。）She's good at making things.（她很会做东

西。）

❷ “on time”意为“准时，按时”，例如：I hate not being on time for class.（我讨

厌不准时上课。）The trains don't always arrive on time.（火车并不总是准时

到达。）另外，与介词in搭配时，“in time”意为“及时”，例如：Will you be

able to finish it in time?（你能及时完成吗？）

❸ “under pressure”的意思是“在压力下”，与“under stress”同义，例如：I'm

under constant pressure/stress at work.（我时常在压力下工作。）

❹ “however”为 副 词， 意 为“然 而， 但 是”， 起 转 折 作 用， 例 如： Cotton

production was on the increase. However, it was still a small industry compared

to hemp⁴ and canvas production.（棉花产量一直在增长。但与大麻和帆布产量

相比，它仍只是个小产业。）

❺ “cooperate with…”的意思是“与……合作”，后面既可以接人也可以接某一

组织或机构等。
