The beacon¹ fire spreads to the capital;

My agitated² mind can't be calmed down.

By royal order we leave palace wall;

Our armored steeds besiege³ the Dragon Town.

Darkening snow damages our banners red;

In howling winds are mingled⁴ our drumbeats.

I'd rather fight at a hundred men's head

Than pore o'er books without performing feats⁵.
