Thousands of professional and amateur1 runners worldwide have participated in the 2015 Beijing International Running Festival which just wound up at the weekend.

Former Olympic gymnast-champion Yang Wei leads the running festival.
 
"Running is a common and simple way for ordinary citizens to exercise themselves. I want to involve in the activity to feel a sort of joy."
 
The annual running festival has attracted more than 20,000 runners to join in three different races, including a 5-kilometer race, a 10- kilometer race and a family fun race.
