英国的七个勋章等级

第一档：Companion of Honour （荣誉勋爵）。 全世界只有65人，授予对国家有重要意义并做出突出贡献的人，获得者可在名字后面加CH后缀。比如，霍金教授的名字加头衔是Stephen William Hawking¹, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA，CBE后面会说到，FRS指英国皇家学院院士，FRSA指英国皇家艺术院院士。

 

第二档：Knight² Grand Cross or Dame³ Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (GBE)（骑士大十字勋章）。英国骑士授勋系统中的最高级别，获得该头衔者可在名字前加Sir或者Dame前缀，同时在名字后面加GBE后缀，比如，Sir Michael Perry, GBE。

 

第三档：Knight Commander or Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE or DBE)（骑士指挥官勋章）。过去只授予军队成员，现在也授予科学家、演员等有突出贡献者。获得该头衔者可在名字前加Sir或者Dame前缀，比如，Sir Elton Hercules John和Dame Helen Mirren。

 

第四档：Commander of the Order of the British Empire （大英帝国司令勋章，CBE）。 这个开始就比较多了，但是还是限量版的，全世界只限8960位。比如前面提到的Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA，说明他先后获得了CBE和CH两个勋章。

 

第五档：Officer of the Order of the British Empire （大英帝国官员勋章，OBE）。 这个就不限量了，达到标准都可以被提名。

 

第六档：Member of the Order of the British Empire （大英帝国成员勋章，MBE）。标准同上。

 

第七档：British Empire Medal （大英帝国勋章，BEM）。 某一个行业有不错的事迹就有可能拿到。
