Arnold Schwarzenegger has gone on a charm offensive in Shanghai to promote his latest film "Terminator Genisys".

The latest installment1 of the hugely-successful franchise2 premiered in the city on Wednesday. 
 
Arnold Schwarzenegger and director Alan Taylor surprised fans and attended the promotion3 event. 
 
The 68-year-old Hollywood action star and former governor of California said Taylor and he were having a great time promoting the film in China. 
 
"And we're having a great time presenting to the Chinese audience this movie. I want to say 'thank you' to the Chinese fans. The Chinese fans have been the most loyal fans. I want to thank you all for supporting my movies and making the movies so popular here in China." 
 
The two had a busy schedule during their promotional tour in China.
