Chinese basketball star Yi Jianlian is going back to the NBA, according to Marc Stein at ESPN.

The move has been confirmed by Sina Sports in Beijing, which is further reporting that he has signed a US$ 1.14-million contract with the Lakers.
 
Yi Jianlian last played in the NBA in 2012, when he appeared in 30 games and averaged 6.8 minutes per appearance for the Dallas Mavericks1. 
 
Back in China, he signed for a team in south China's Guangdong.
 
He travelled to Rio as part of China's Olympic team, averaging 20.4 points per game.
