The Chinese air force launched its "Red Sword-2017" drills at the end of November in northwest China, reports the People's Daily.
 
《人民日报》报道，中国空军已于11月底在西北部地区开展代号“红剑-2017”的军事演习。
 
 
The drills included aircraft, missiles, radar1 systems and other forces from two air defense2 bases.
 
This year's drills included more actual battle environments, new drill content, and an evaluation3 system to strengthen scouting4 and alarm response, air assault capabilities5, and other operations.
