A 19-year-old Chinese student was killed in a robbery in Johannesburg on Monday, August 20, reports Chinanews.com.

8月20日一位19岁的中国学生在约翰尼斯堡的一场抢劫案中丧生。

Eights male Chinese students in a minibus were robbed on their way to the campus. When they jumped out of the bus to escape, one of them was shot by one of the robbers. The other students called the police. The police arrived at the scene 10 minutes later and found the body of a student.

The Chinese Consulate¹ General in Johannesburg has confirmed the news. The case is under investigation².
