克鲁尼短剧《第二十二条军规》将上映

George Clooney is directing and starring in Hulu's "Catch-22" miniseries.

 

乔治·克鲁尼自导自演的Hulu短剧《第二十二条军规》即将上映。

 

Clooney explained that the longer format¹ allowed them to develop the characters beyond what could be done in Mike Nichols' 1970 classic movie.

 

"I thought it was a fun way to tell this story," He said "It's hard to tell this story as complex as it is in a two hour movie, so it's never been about the medium, although television and streaming has gotten much more interesting and fun, it was more about telling the story – it's about telling good stories that's all we really wanted to do".

 

Adopted at the time by opponents of the Vietnam War, Clooney and his director/producer partner Grant Heslov say the story that makes fun of the red tape and bureaucracy of war is relevant today and not tied to a particular conflict.

 

"Catch-22" will be released on Hulu on May 17.
