1. get 〔have〕 hold of sb. or sth. **与…联系，与…接触；得到，找到（某物以供使

用）；抓住，拿住；掌控

解 习语；词义溯源：对某人或某物有着［支配力、掌握（hold）］；参照get one's

hands on / get in touch with / take hold of

例 Get hold of Jerry in New York. Tell him I want him to take the first flight to Montreal.

He's to meet with Mr. Jin tomorrow for lunch at the Montreal Hilton at 1:30 PM to discuss our

joint¹ venture. Got it?

2. get in on the ground floor / get in **一开始就参加，从开始就占据有利地位

解 习语；词义溯源：从［地面上第一层、第一步、优先获利的机会（ground floor）］

进入［里面（in）］

例 The Malaysian government grants special treatment to Bumiputras, the so-called“original

people” of the land. One prized privilege is the right to buy stocks in new government-held

〔stay〕 in touch （with）则表示与某人和睦相处，维持友好关系

例 Nowadays, everyone has a cellular³ telephone. We have fewer problem (s) getting in touch
