词组讲解

1. get 〔have〕 one. 's ear **（意见等）得到某人的倾听，使某人听得进

例 I've heard you have a way to get the chairman's ear. If it's true and you can get him to

listen to an idea I have, I'd be willing to pay you a handsome reward for your effort.

2. get sb. or sth. out of one's mind **从脑海中（心里）抹去，忘记

4. get sb. out of a jam **将某人从困境中救出

5. get〔have〕 sb. over a barrel / get sb. under one's thumb **完全控制某人，使某人动

弹不得；随意操控某人

例 Sam is a tycoon³ who's made his money by forcing farmers to sell their land at a cheap

a barrel, he offers to buy their land.
