China has postponed2 a planned visit by Japanese Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry3 spokesman Kong Quan on Tuesday.
The spokesman attributed the postponement4 to the "current gloomy situation". "The visit by Japanese Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura does not come at an appropriate time and it is inconvenient5 for China to receive him。

It is reported that Machimura was originally scheduled to visit China from Oct. 23-24.

本周二，外交部亚洲司发言人孔泉，通报了中方关于推迟日本外相町村信孝访华的决定.表示鉴于目前严峻形势，町村外相访华不合时宜，中方不便接待。
