英国女王登基70周年庆祝安排公布

英国白金汉宫公布了为纪念女王登基而举办的一系列70周年（又称 “白金禧年”）庆祝活动。第一项活动是甜点大赛：选出一款全新的甜点，以庆祝女王在位的周年纪念。

 

It will be a pudding fit for a queen – or more precisely¹, for a Queen's Jubilee². In celebration of her 70 years on the throne, Buckingham Palace is asking Britain to get baking.

这将是一款配得上女王的甜点，更准确地说，是适合女王登基周年庆典的甜点。为庆祝女王在位70周年，白金汉宫邀请英国民众参与烘焙。

 

It's a nationwide competition to create the Platinum³ Pudding. The winning creation will be one of the ingredients to be enjoyed during the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.

这是一场面向全国的“白金”甜点制作大赛。获奖作品将在纪念女王登基白金禧年的公休周末作为一道美食供人享用。

 

On the final day, Sunday the fifth of June, the Big Jubilee Lunch will be staged in communities across the country – that Platinum Pudding will be part of the menu.

在庆祝活动的最后一天，即6月5日星期日，“周年庆祝午宴”将在全国各地社区举行，届时被选出的 “白金” 甜点将登上菜单。

 

And the Platinum Jubilee Pageant⁴ will be staged on the Mall [in London]. From pudding to pageant, the organisers hope it will indeed be a fitting tribute to the Queen's 70 years of service.

除此之外，“白金禧年纪念庆典”将在伦敦白金汉宫前的林荫大道举行。从甜点到庆典，活动组织者希望这会是对女王70年服务的恰如其分的献礼。
