The legislative¹ hearing is on the adjustment of personal income tax deduction² criterion and is held by the Law Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), the Commission of Legislative Affairs of the NPC Standing³ Committee and the NPC Financial and Economic Committee. Since the convention of the legislative hearing was announced on Aug. 28, the NPC Standing Committee has received 4,982 applications for attending the hearing from all over the country.
