This new Barbie doll with hearing aids is part of toy manufacturer¹ Mattel's drive to make the dolls more inclusive².

British actor Rose Ayling-Ellis, who has been deaf since birth, helped create the new addition to this famous toy.

Hearing aids and wheelchair aside, the new series also includes Ken³ with vitiligo and Barbie with a prosthetic limb⁴.

Mattel says it wants to ensure children from different backgrounds feel represented.
