The Party vowed¹ on Wednesday to fight corruption² firmly and to maintain its "high-handed posture³" in the next five years.

 

党中央周三表示将坚决打击腐败，在今后五年保持反腐“高压态势”。

 

“高压态势”就是high-handed posture，这意味着政府将采取high-handed measures（高压手段）反腐，把“打老虎”和“拍苍蝇”进行到底。“五年规划”提出要resolutely halt the momentum⁴ of extensive corruption（坚决遏制腐败蔓延势头）。

 

政府将加强对官员的监督，省部级以上官员必须每年向中央提交clean-governance report（廉政报告书/廉洁自律自查报告）。新任命的官员须disclose their private assets（公开个人财产）。另外，对于commercial bribery⁵（商业贿赂）的惩罚力度将加大。
