Pink Floyd一九七五年的 Wish You Were Here,是一张献给前团长 Syd Barrett的作品。Syd Barrett原本是 Pink Floyd的团长兼主奏吉他手,70年代初因为精神衰弱离开 Pink Floyd,错过了这个乐团日后所有的飞黄腾达。离团后他发行了两张个人专辑,洋溢着私密不祥的扭曲气氛。
这首歌的吉他部份被誉为 David Gilmour最经典的表现之一,原作者 Roger Waters在1982年的访问中表示:歌里的「你」和「我」,其实也可以视为同一个人的分裂人格,一个好强、另一个颓败。
