SPRING AND A GIRL

春天和姑娘

Spring always dresses herself up with flowers overflowing¹ with fragrance².

A girl also wants to dresses herself up gorgeously for flashing it away .

When spring sees the girl, she advises her with concern, “My girl, you're in the very spring of

life, why do you only emphasize the externality not to enrich your mind?”

The young girl asks plausibly³, “Well, don't you love dressing⁴ yourself up?”

On hearing this, Spring says with a long sigh, “Silly girl, you misunderstand me. You know,

each flower I dress up gestates a fruit of autumn. And you?”

春天用花朵将自己盛装打扮，花香漫溢。
