英文： WTO Conference in Hong Kong

Ministers from 149 members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) are to gather Tuesday in Hong Kong for the Six Ministerial Conference.
It aims to slash¹ subsidies², tariffs³ and other barriers to trade so as to help reduce poverty and spur economic growth in developing countries.
In September, 2003, the WTO's fifth ministerial conference in Cancun, Mexico, collapsed⁴ as significant differences emerged between the rich and poor nations over agriculture and non- agricultural market access (NAMA).
WTO members agreed to phase out agricultural subsidies by the end of 2006.

149个世界贸易组织(WTO)成员方在本周二汇聚香港参加第六次部长级会议。
它旨在大幅度削减补助金和关税，帮助减少贫穷的其它物品交换及刺激发展中国家的经济发展。
2003年9月在墨西哥的坎工宫招开的WTO第五次会议，在发达国家与发展中国家之间关于农业和非农业的问题发生了很大的分歧。
WTO成员同意2006年底取消对农业的补贴。
