　　The General Administration of Customs:

　　Upon the approval of the State Council, the preferential policies on import taxation¹ prescribed in the following documents shall be stopped from implementation² from January 1, 2001:

　　1. Circular Concerning the Printing and Distribution of Administration Measures for the Return of Import Tax over Self-used Materials in Specific Areas [CaiYuZi [1996] No.70] promulgated³ by the Ministry⁴ of Finance, the People's Bank of China, the State Commission of Planning, the State Administration of Taxation and the General Administration of Customs on March 28, 1996;

　　2. Circular Concerning the Printing and Distribution of the Provisional Measures for Returning the Value-added Tax over Equipments that Can't be Produced Domestically and are Imported for the Technological⁵ Reform Projects of State-owned Large-and Medium-Sized Enterprises During the Ninth Five-year Plan [CaiShuiZi [1997] No.35] promulgated by the Ministry of Finance, the State Economic and Trade Commission, the State Administration of Taxation and the General Administration of Customs on March 24, 1997;

　　3. Circular Concerning the Return of Value-added Tax over Import Links of Imported Industrial Chemicals for Fishing Uses of Nansha Fishing Industry after Collection [CaiShuiZi [1997] No.35] promulgated by the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation on June 30, 1998;

　　4. Circular Concerning Exempting⁶ the Import Tax over the Import of Polyacrylamide of the Oil Fields in Henan in 2000 [CaiShui [2000] No.87] promulgated by the Ministry of Finance on September 12, 2000.
