Dialogue I

A: Hello, Sue¹. Hello, Paul. What would you like to do today?

A: 你好，苏。你好，保罗。你今天想做什么？

B: We could go to the Great Wall.

B: 我们可以去长城。

A: That's a good idea. The weather is good today.

A: 这是一人主意。今天天气好。

B: What's the best way to go?

B: 最佳的路线是什么？

A: You can take a bus from the hotel.

A: 你可以从旅馆乘公共汽车去。

B: That would be good.

B: 那好啊。

A: Yes. It leaves at 10.

A: 是的。公共汽车10点出发。

B: Right. Let's do that. Let's go to the Great Wall.

B: 好，咱们就这么办。咱们去长城。

1. If you want to ask people what they would like to do, you can say: What would you like to do today?

如果你想问某人想做什么，你可以说：What would you like to do today?(你今天想做什么？)

2. When you talk about possible things you could do, you can say: We could... For example, We could go to the Great Wall or We could visit the Forbidden² City.

当你谈论你可能做的事情时，你可以说：We could...(我们可以...)。例如：We could go to the Great wall (我们可以去长城)或者We could visit the Forbidden City (我们可以去故宫).

3. To say when a bus, or train, or plane, leaves, you can say: It leaves at 10.

说公共汽车，火车何时发车或者飞机何时起飞，你可以说：It leaves at 10 (10点发车/起飞)
