The match will kick off at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium, where four first-round matches and two quarter-finals of the World Cup China 2007 will also be played.

The star-studded world team, regretfully missing¹ Marta (Brazil, FIFA Women's World Player of the Year for 2006) and Birgit Prinz (Germany, a three-time winner of the same award) due to their important league matches, will be put through their paces by current England coach Hope Powell and the former coach of Germany, Tina Theune-Meyer, who led Germany to FIFA World Cup glory in 2003.

"It's another massive² event in my career, which I'd basically³ already brought to an end. The fact I was even asked to attend a game like this came as a real surprise," Theune-Meyer told FIFA's official website.

"FIFA invited Hope Powell and me to assemble⁴ a team and perform the coaching duties, which is a very special honour.

"We'll see a rich contrast in playing styles. Just witnessing such a huge event is simply fantastic," she added.

The 16 World Cup finalists on Sunday will be divided into four groups for the showpiece competition, which will be staged in the Chinese cities of Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin and Wuhan from 10 to 30 September.
