BEIJING - Two volunteers of the Beijing taekwondo world championships had to run miles to collect urine sample of South Korean competitor Jung Jin Hee.
After winning the women's bantam (55kg) gold medal on Friday night, Korea's Jung Jin Hee proceeded to the doping control station for urine test. Unfortunately she was unable to produce a sample for over two hours. At 11:30 pm, volunteer Jiang Yanfang was the only staff at the station who could speak Korean. Jiang and her superior, Du Mingzhong, decided1 to let Jung go back to her hotel as they awaited the sample. The taxi driver got lost on his way there and it took over two hours to get Jiang back to Changping Stadium. The Korean fighter was extremely grateful for the two volunteers. It was not until 12:45 in the night that Jiang and Du were able to get back to the control station with the sample. "It's our responsibility to complete our job and to look after our foreign friends," said Du 点击收听单词发音
