EU Committee formally approved the initial determination on duty in anti-dumping case against Chinese shoes. MOFCOM spokesman Chong Quan said that China was dissatisfied with the determination.
Chong Quan said that there was no dumping in export of Chinese shoes, and the exported shoes did not cause essential damage to EU industry. It is remarkably1 discrimination to refuse recognizing the economic status and legal basis of all Chinese enterprises who responded to the anti-dumping case and decided2 to implement3 "all others rate" to all involved enterprises. The measure of EU was against the reality and shot of legal basis and violated principle of fair trade. China negotiated with EU for many times but the determination on duty against Chinese export shoes was still passed without any consideration, with which Chinese related enterprises were strongly dissatisfied.
Chong Quan said that China required EU to treat fairly with Chinese enterprises who responded to the anti-dumping case, to re-analyze and reappraise reasonably the case in an all-round way to give a determination in line with WTO rules to guarantee the normal development of Sino-EU Shoes Trade
