A man had two horses to carry loads for him. When they were working, the front horse went very well, but the rear one was very lazy.

 

The man began to transfer its load onto the front horse. When he had transferred it all, the rear horse said to the front one. "You see I'm easy going now. You toil¹（辛苦工作） and sweat, but the harder you work, the more you will suffer."

 

When they got to a pub, the owner said, "I don't need to raise two horses. I had better give all the food to the good one and kill the lazy one. Then I may have its skin at least." And so he did.

 

一个人有两匹马给他运货。运货时走在前面的马干得很好，后面的那匹马就很懒。
