At a recent meeting of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, top leader Xi Jinping said that China needs to seize the opportunities and cope with the challenges in order to build a fairer global governance system.

近日在中共中央政治局的一次会议上，习近平总书记强调，中国需努力抓住机遇，妥善应对挑战，以建立一个更加公平合理的全球治理体制。

 

习近平在主持学习时发表了讲话。他指出，国际社会普遍认为，“全球治理体制”（global governance system）变革正处在历史转折点上。随着全球性挑战增多，加强全球治理、推进全球治理体制变革已是大势所趋。

 

习近平强调，要推动变革全球治理体制中不公正不合理的安排（reform unjust and improper¹ arrangements in the global governance system），要增加新兴市场国家和发展中国家的代表性和发言权（boost representation and the voices of emerging economies and developing countries），推动各国在国际经济合作中权利平等、机会平等、规则平等，推进全球治理规则民主化、法治化（democratic and law-based rules to guide global governance），努力使全球治理体制更加平衡地反映大多数国家意愿和利益。
