On Sunday, Premier¹ Li Keqiang participated in a panel discussion of the Shandong provincial² delegation³ at the current session of the 12th National People's Congress to review the Government Work Report. During the discussion, Li pointed⁴ out that the governments should regard solving "the pain points for people's livelihoods⁵" as significant areas for government work.

3月6日，国务院总理李克强参加了十二届全国人大四次会议山东代表团的会议，审议政府工作报告。会上，李克强指出，应该将解决“民生痛点”作为政府工作的着力点。

 

“民生痛点”（the pain points for people's livelihoods）是群众生活中的“老大难”。“痛点”（pain point），字面上来看，即比较难解决的问题，如果不解决，会让人很痛苦。具体来说，就是教育、医疗、住房、社保、食品安全（education, medical treatment, housing, social security and food safety）等人民群众关注的重点问题。
