Affluenza, a portmanteau of affluence¹ and influenza², is a term used by critics of consumerism. It is defined as "a painful, contagious³, socially transmitted condition of overload⁴, debt, anxiety, and waste resulting from the dogged pursuit of more". 

“富裕病”由affluence（富裕）和（流感）两个英文单词混成而来，是消费主义批评人士使用的一个词汇，指的是“由于总想得到更多，而导致的个人负担过重、负债、焦虑和浪费。这种状态令人痛苦、会互相传染，也会在社会中蔓延。”

 

It is the negative psychological or behavioral effects of having or pursuing wealth, as irresponsible acts and feelings of self-doubt or guilt⁵.
