A total of 90 ministers and vice-ministers sang in a red song chorus in Beijing on Thursday to celebrate the upcoming 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

九十名部级和副部级干部本周四在北京举办红歌合唱，庆祝即将到来的建党九十周年。

文中的red song chorus就是指“唱红歌”，red song就是“红色歌曲”。相关的说法还有red tour（红色旅游）、red resources（红色资源）、red relics¹（红色遗迹）等等。类似的活动都有助于开展patriotic² education（爱国主义教育）。

Chorus指的是“合唱曲”，比如male/mixed chorus（男声/混声合唱），也可以用来表示合唱团、歌咏队，类似于choir。如果是很多人齐声说、异口同声地说，则称为in chorus，比如：All the students replied in chorus to the teacher's question.（所有学生齐声回答老师的问题。）
