Wrap rage, also called package rage, is the common name for heightened levels of anger and frustration1 resulting from the inability to open hard-to-open packaging. Consumers suffer thousands of injuries per year, such as cut fingers and sprained2 wrists, from tools used to open packages and from packaging itself, and in some cases damage the items they are trying to free from packaging.
Wrap rage或package rage均指遇到很难打开的物品包装时不断加剧的愤怒和挫败感,即“包装怒”或“开箱怒”。每年都有数千起消费者受伤事件是由开启包装的工具或物品外包装导致的,伤情包括手指被割伤或者手腕扭伤,而在有些情况下,人们在打开包装的过程中还会导致里面的物品损毁。
In 2006, Consumer Reports magazine recognized the wrap rage phenomenon when it created the Oyster3 Awards for the products with the hardest-to-open packaging.
