Dark Phoenix1 Director Simon Kingberg recently led his cast of superheroes to China to promote the final entry in the blockbuster X-Men film franchise2 in China.
《X战警:黑凤凰》导演西蒙·金伯格带领剧中的超级英雄来到中国为X战警新片造势。
Sophie Turner shouted "so excited to be here! Thanks for the warm welcome, guys. "
She stars as Jean Grey, who begins to develop incredible powers that
corrupt3 and turn her into the Dark Phoenix. "It's not necessarily two separate
entities4. Um, but it's this girl that's fighting with herself. She's fighting this kind of selfish need to kind of release this phoenix force because it feels so good. And it's such a struggle to keep in, um, but she's also fighting to kind of save her family."
To promote the film, Turner has been around the world and back in a
slew5 of gorgeous
outfits6, "hollywoodlife.com" reported.
Scottish actor James McAvoy plays Professor Charles Xavier. He described his role this way: "He's always been very hopeful and positive, not
entirely7 changed this time. But I think this time, his message of
integration8 between humankind and mutant kind, has become his passion and his mission, and he has a massive political stage to help spread that message. But I think one of the things that it turns them on and makes him a darker figure this time is that he's more interested in spreading that message. So building his own political image in his own political platform to affect that change, he's not actually living that mantra."
The new X-Men
installment9 will be released in China on June 6, which is one day before the U.S. release.
