Chinanews, Xi'an, August 9 – On September 13, 2007, a special exhibition with the theme of Emperor Qinshihuang Mausoleum Terracotta Warriors1 and the history of the Qin Dynasty (221 – 206 BC) will be kicked off in the British Museum. At present, staff members of the Emperor Qinshihuang Mausoleum Museum are packing the cultural relics2, while the British Museum is preparing for the exhibition hall.
More than 100 cultural relics will be exhibited, including 20 Terracotta Warriors, several other tomb figures, weapons, bronzewares and jadewares, to fully3 display the culture and lifestyle of Qin. The exhibition will be the biggest of its kind in the UK. After that, the British Museum will host a series of other exhibitions with the theme of Chinese history and culture before the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, to help the British people gain a better understanding of China.
