Chinanews, Beijing, Aug. 17 - The Office of Chinese Language Council International has signed a contract with South Bank University recently, whereby a Confucius Institute of Chinese Herbal Medicine will be set up jointly¹ by Heilongjiang University of Herbal Medicine and Harbin Normal University of China and South Bank University of UK.

The Institute will start to enroll² students in September 2008, and the students will learn Chinese and English.

The Institute will be a non-profit educational agency, and comprise courses on acupuncture³, massage⁴ and other medical studies.

Currently China has set up more than 150 Confucius Institutes in 55 countries.
