Chinanews, New York, August 28 – With the appreciation1 of RMB, and the US loosing control over student visas, more and more wealthy Chinese parents have decided2 to send their kids to study in private elementary and high schools in the US. Now the international students agencies in many big cities in China are witnessing a very good business, and some of them have started to offer special service to elementary and high school students.
Parents who want to send their kids abroad must have a deposit of no less than 500,000 yuan, as it requires around $40,000 to pay for the living expense and tuition of a student per semester. However, there are still many parents applying for this, and those who apply in August will wait until November or December, as the schedule of the US embassy is full. It is said that high school students aged3 around 17 will get visas without much effort as long as his/her family can afford the tuition and living expenses, but those who are aged around 15 or younger will not get visas so easily, unless they have chosen the right schools.
