Vampire¹ drama Twilight² dominated the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, scooping³ 11 prizes.

The film fought off competition to win awards including best drama, romance, movie villain⁴（坏人，恶棍） and soundtrack.

The ceremony, which is now in its 11th year, honours celebrities⁶ in TV, film, music and sports, with winners voted by the public online.

More than 85 awards are handed out during the show, with such diverse categories as best "hissy fit（发脾气）", rumble⁷ and celebrity⁸ pet.

Teen star Miley Cyrus took home six awards, including wins for comedy TV show, actress and music single, while her father, country star Billy Ray Cyrus, also won the prize given for the best on-screen parent.

The Jonas Brothers, who hosted the event and kicked off the show with a performance, won five trophies⁹（奖品，战利品） including male red carpet icons¹⁰ and breakout TV show for Jonas.

TV drama Gossip Girl continued to pick up awards following its success last year with wins for TV drama and acting honours for its stars Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick.

Pop star Britney Spears was also honoured with the Ultimate Choice award and presented with a special blue surfboard-shaped trophy¹¹.

Other winners included Beyonce, American Idol¹² finalist David Archuleta, Taylor Swift and Jason Mraz, who picked up two awards each in the music categories.

David Beckham also won best male athlete for a second year, with Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson named best female athlete.

The ceremony will air in the US on 10 August.
