The top 10 news in Southeast Asia selected by CRI and major news media from Southeast Asian countries were revealed in December 31.

8. 10 ASEAN countries will become founding members of the Asian Infrastructure³ Investment Bank (AIIB).

9. Myanmar is to hold presidential election next year, according the current constitution.

10. Southeast Asian countries take action in preventing the impact of Islamic State.

The selection of the top 10 news in Southeast Asia was initiated⁴ by CRI. Major news media in Southeast Asian countries were also invited to the event.
