A wild Siberian tiger has been caught on camera eating dead livestock1 in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, the first images of this sort to be captured in the province.

 A robust adult wild Siberian tiger eats a dead horse near a stable. Local wildlife officials set up several cameras in the area on January 11th following previous attacks. The video filmed on Sunday shows a robust adult tiger approaches a dead horse, believed to have been killed by the big cat a day earlier.
The tiger vigilantly3 glances its surrounding before eating its meal. About half an hour later he leaves at a leisurely4 pace.
Weeks before, tiger-shape paw prints had been spotted5 at a stable. On two previous occasions at the same location, several horses were bitten and one was killed.
Information and data collected at the site has confirmed the attacks were conducted by the same wild Siberian tiger.
Local wildlife officials set up eight infrared6 surveillance cameras in the area near the stable on January 11th to monitor the whereabouts of the tiger.
The Siberian tiger, one of most endangered species in the world, is listed as a first class national protected animal in China.
