Chinanews,Beijing, February 28 – According to official statistics, nearly 25,000 couples got divorced in Beijing in 2006, including many young couples and remarried ones.   About 7,000 divorced couples had been married for less than 5 years (30%), and nearly 10,000 couples were under 35 years old (40%).   With the rapid development of the society, women have become more economically independent, and the public opinion has become more tolerant to the problem of divorce, which has enabled people to free themselves of the dead marriage and pursue a happier life.   However, the high incidence of divorces has also shown that many young people got married in a rush. Some of them only maintained their marriage for 2 days.   It is recommended that people should treasure their love and family, as it involves a person's sense of responsibility.
