Sex education shall be conducted to young women from rural areas working in cities, said Mo Wenxiu, vice president of the All-China Women's Federation.
Many women, working in cities far from home, are young and lonely, thus they are eager to fall into a relationship, Mo said.
Under such circumstances, they may have emotional troubles and have sex easily with someone. As a result, they have to suffer pregnancy3 and abortion4 and are badly hurt both physically5 and mentally, Mo said.
"We should help them know themselves better and live a good life," said the vice president, noting that some young female migrant workers have low awareness6 of their own health.
According to Mo, the federation is engaged in legislation to ensure the legal protection of female workers' rights. "Relevant legal articles shall be written into pamphlets distributed to these women," she said.
Meanwhile, a hotline numbered 12338 has been opened to female migrant workers.
China has about 120 million migrant workers. A survey by the State Ministry7 of Agriculture showed that about 30 percent of them are women.

据莫主席介绍，全国妇联目前正在积极参与保护进城打工妇女合法权益的各项立法。她说：“一些相关的法律条款将被编制成宣传手册，分发给这些进城打工的女性。”
此外，专为进城打工妇女提供咨询服务的热线电话已开通，号码为12338。
目前我国的进城务工人员大约为1.2亿。据农业部开展的一项调查显示，其中约30%的人为女性。
