Chinanews, Beijing, September 11 – A survey conducted by China Youth Daily and ChinaHR.com last month reflected that 63% of 1,500 responders would prefer true love to a good job.
About 70% of them thought that love might have some influence over job choices, but they would still choose reasonably. Nearly 80% of them said they understood those who gave up their career for love, but they would not praise it, and they still believed material should come first. Though 44.5% of responders said that to give up love for career was totally understandable, they would think twice before making that choice, while other 44.1% would never think about it, as love should always come first. More than 50% felt indifferent2 about taking advantage of love affairs for promotion3. "This is life. Why don't you live and let live," said one responder1. More than 35% of the responders had strong confidence4 in long-distance love. They prefer neither to give up love nor to give up career, because it would be the best way to both sides.
