日本重启国内西南部一座核电站的第二座反应堆。
The Number-2 unit at the Sendai plant will begin generating power next week.
The first reactor at the Sendai facility was restarted in August, ending a prolonged nuclear power hiatus in Japan.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga says this move will be the first of many.
"We will continue to restart nuclear reactors2 that meet what's called one of the most strict safety standards in the world, respecting the judgment3 of the government's nuclear authority."
The Abe administration hopes to have nuclear power to account for 20 to 22-percent of the country's energy mix by 2030.
