A military aircraft crashed in the Ecuadorian province of Pastaza, killing¹ all 22 soldiers on board, military sources said on Tuesday.

Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa confirmed the crash on his official Twitter account, saying there were no survivors².

"A military plane has crashed in Pastaza with 22 passengers," the president said.

In a seperate message, he confirmed that the 22 have been killed, expressing "solidarity³ to their families and the airforce for this tragedy."
