A senior official of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) headed for the United States for working-level talks, Yonhap news agency reported Tuesday.

 

联合通讯社周二报道，朝鲜一位高级官员已动身前往美国进行工作级别会谈。

 

Senior DPRK official Kim Yong Chol is headed to the United States presumably for talks with the U.S. side on a possible summit between DPRK's top leader Kim Jong Un and U.S. President Donald Trump¹, it said.

 

It is believed that the visit of Kim Yong Chol indicates the advancement² of preparations for the DPRK-U.S. summit, according to the report.
