BEIJING, March 18 -- China's law enforcement agencies have cracked 125 cases involving organized crime since the beginning of 2006, the agencies revealed on Thursday.

People's procuratorates at different levels have prosecuted¹ 246suspects involved in organized crime, said the special national coordinating² office which is comprised of police forces, procuratorates, courts and judiciaries at the state level.

The four major law enforcement agencies launched a special campaign to fight organized crime at the beginning of 2006.

The office urged local law enforcement agencies to cultivate civilian³ informants who can exposure criminal organizations and follow up every lead they provide to the agencies.
