China not to be the 1st to use nuclear weapons

Chinanews, Beijing, August 29 – Acoording to Jing Zhiyuan, a commander of the PLA Strategic Missile Force, China will stick to the policy of never to be the first to use nuclear weapons.

 

Jing said this while meeting with Ike Skelton, chairman of the US House of Representatives Armed Services Committee.

 

“China and the US share wide strategic interests, and the two are constructive1 cooperators. At present, both US and Chinese armed forces have maintained a good relationship and deepened mutual2 trust via broadened military cooperation. China is very optimistic about keeping good relationship with the US in the future,” said Jing.

 

Skelton said that he felt deeply honored to be the first Congressman3 to visit the HQ of the PLA Strategic Missile Forces. Only via communication and dialogue, can the United States and China improve their friendship between them, said Skelton.
