教育部9月22日召开新闻发布会，正式发布《关于加快新时代研究生教育改革发展的意见》。《意见》提出，2025年，基本建成规模结构更加优化、体制机制更加完善、培养质量显著提升、服务需求贡献卓著、国际影响力不断扩大的高水平研究生教育体系。

China has unveiled a guideline on accelerating the reform and development of postgraduate¹ education of the new era, the Ministry² of Education said at a press conference on September 22. By 2025, a high-level postgraduate education system will be basically in place, according to the document. The system will have an optimized³ scale and structure, improved institutions and mechanisms⁴, enhanced education quality, outstanding contribution in service and growing international influence.

 

研究生教育在培养创新人才、提高创新能力、服务经济社会发展、推进国家治理体系和治理能力现代化方面具有重要作用。

Graduate education plays an important role in boosting innovation, catering⁵ for economic and social development, as well as modernizing⁶ the system and capacity for governance in China.
